Teresa Patel, a NYC based South Asian actress,  currently stars on NBC’s new hit medical drama New Amsterdam as Paramedic Harvell.  She started off her career as Neela Patel on ABC’s One Life to Live being one of the first few South Asian females at the time to have a recurring role on mainstream television.

Teresa has also guest starred in MTV2’s Guy Code and ABC’s What Would You Do.  Aside from her acting career, Teresa has a Doctorate in Pharmacy and is passionate about climate change and environmental pollution.  She uses her platform to influence and build awareness about eco-friendly products as a more sustainable alternative to reducing  plastic pollution.
